Artist's Statement
Digital Media Art is the only field that I believe will give me the most opportunities to explore technology and art, as well as challenge my views and broaden my current understanding of art and space. As an artist interested in all types of mediums, styles, and techniques, I hope to not only experiment and explore new methods and media, but also utilize my basic knowledge and interests in computer technology, photography, web design, and illustration together to create unique works. This program will allow me to explore and sample the fields of graphic design, animation/illustration, advertising, social networking, communication, and many other areas inside and outside of the fine arts, all of which will be beneficial in gaining a wide exposure of skills and experience. Several of the fields I hope to broaden my skills in and further explore include web design, computer information, and photography. In the study of Digital Media Art, I plan to track and follow modern technology's fast-paced and ever-changing standards in order to become better prepared for any art and technology related career of the future.
